So a few weeks ago, I felt inspired to take my good DSLR camera with me wherever I went. I don't do this everyday because I really do use my iPhone camera a lot, but I'm always looking for the opportunity to practice so I took it with me on a typical trip to pick up Danny from school on a normal 1:30pm Friday pickup, and Mikey happened to be off from school that day. I parked the car and I just began to shoot. Honestly, I really didn't know what I was trying to get, but I was just shooting my boys in what I felt was their natural state. I also decided I was going to shoot in just black and white as I was curious as to what mood that would set for them.
And after looking at the set of pictures I realized that I had something that fits a format that is apparently called a photo-essay- a set or series of photographs that are intended to tell a story or evoke a series of emotions in the viewer.
Hmmm...An interesting concept! So why not share them that way, right?
I don't expect these pictures to evoke any serious emotions out of you at all, but hopefully this photo essay will tell you a short story about 2 silly boys who love to go to Target and why....
Mom, can we go?
"Boys, I've gotta look for some stuff..."
Ugggh
"Shopping is boring... can we go home now?"
And so it goes for boys being boys - its no longer fun when shopping is involved.
;)
This was fun! I hope you enjoyed it too!
From my corner to yours...Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
